Spain's best thick and creamy drinking chocolate
Great for dipping churros, cookies, and other pastries.

Ingredients: Sugar, fat-reduced cocoa powder, WHEAT flour (GLUTEN), emulsifier: SOYA lecitin, flavourings. May contain traces of MILK
Directions: Heat the milk and when warm, add the cocoa: two full table-spoons per cup (50g) for each 200ml of milk. Stir over a low heat and just before boiling, remove from the heat. Leave to settle for a few minutes before serving. You can also keep it in the fridge and heat it up again at any time.

This is not a recipe for the faint-hearted as it involves frying in very hot oil. In Spain you would find a ‘churrería’ in every town, where these hot, crisp, doughnut sticks are served with rich hot chocolate. Churros is one of those recipes that could go either way but stick to the recipe and follow my advice and you will be fine. I have made thousands of these – trust me!
